Built: 1905

Built on the site that was the "Engagement on the Forty", a major engagement during the War of 1812, the Elizabeth Street Waterworks is an excellent example of a 20th Century waterworks facility.

The building was constructed in 1905 of brick and shows an asymmetrical composition of Romanesque character. Replaced by a new waterworks in1998, the building was partially restored by the town and the Historical Society for public use and viewing.
