Built: circa 1790 This stone house was constructed circa 1790 on 200 acres of
land west of what is now Port Colborne. Made of local limestone, this 1-1/2 story
home is 18 feet by 24 feet, with 24-inch to 27-inch thick walls. The old building
has had many uses over the years and was turned into a butcher shop in the early
1900's. It was used as such until 1960, when it was abandoned. Hard-Rock
Quarry donated the stone house to the Society. It was moved to the Marshville
Heritage Village on June 27, 1995, and in August of 1996 it was fully restored.
