Theatre is a not-for-profit professional musical theatre company dedicated to
bringing quality musical theatre to Western New York, and to becoming a significant
regional theatre with national prominence by developing and presenting new musicals,
new versions of traditional musicals and area premieres. MusicalFare
Theatre is in residence at Daemen College, but independently operated, and performs
year-round at its intimate, newly renovated and expanded theatre located at the
back of the campus. Currently
in its seventeenth season, MusicalFare Theatre has produced over 100 productions
since its inception in 1990, entertaining over 300,000 people and employing over
900 local actors, musicians and designers. It has been nominated for 301 Artvoice
Theatre Awards and has won 63, making it the most awarded musical theatre in Western
New York. MusicalFare
was the recipient of the Amherst Chamber of Commerce's "Commitment to Excellence"
award for 2003. The economic impact of MusicalFare and its audiences was over
1.5 million dollars in the 2004/2005 season. 2007

ALTAR BOYZ Sept. 12 - Oct. 14
It's a musical. It's a concert. It's a laugh out loud comedy! It's
the regional premiere of ALTAR BOYZ, the new Christian "boy band" that's
come to save a few souls with ninety minutes of witty music, hot dancing, and
overall hilarity. Now entering its third year Off-Broadway, ALTAR BOYZ has been
lauded by such diverse publications as The New York Times, Variety and The Jewish
Journal.

SWEENEY TODD Jan. 9 - Feb.
10 The acclaimed musical thriller written by Stephen Sondheim, the greatest
Broadway composer of our time. Sophisticated, macabre, visceral and uncompromising,
SWEENEY TODD mixes intense drama with howlingly funny moments of dark humor; audiences
find themselves laughing hysterically one moment and gasping in surprise the next.
SWEENEY TODD is the first musical in a three year retrospective of Stephen Sondheim
musicals planned at MusicalFare.

VICTORY VAUDEVILLE: THE FATHER BAKER STORY
March 5 - April 6 A world premiere musical about the life of Father
Nelson Baker, the Buffalo-born religious icon who started out as a businessman,
became a priest at the age of 34, and whose charitable efforts revitalized the
WNY community in the early 20th century. Employing the structure of a vaudeville
show, the production reveals the compelling story of Father Baker's life while
juxtaposing it with the industrial and religious heritage of Buffalo.

BEYOND THE RAINBOW: THE LIFE OF JUDY GARLAND
April 23 - May 25 A regional premiere musical that tells the tragic
and memorable story of Judy Garland. Set during her legendary 1961 Carnegie Hall
concert and featuring many of her hit songs including "The Man That Got Away,"
"That's Entertainment!," "Get Happy," "The Trolley Song,"
and, of course, "Over the Rainbow," BEYOND THE RAINBOW simultaneously
treats its audience to the famed concert while telling the life story of one of
Hollywood's most cherished and unforgettable icons.

is FREE, and the theatre is handicapped accessible, complete with a hearing-impaired
