130-seat Paul
Robeson Theatre at the African American Cultural Center is celebrating its 38th
season. Its diverse repertoire varies from poignant musical biographies and historical
dramas to sidesplitting parodies that celebrate both the unique African American
experience and the common threads of humanity. Paul
Robeson Theatre is the oldest African American theater in Western New York. Founded
in 1968 - and named for multi-talented Harlem Renaissance actor and scholar Paul
Busti Robeson - it strives to nurture and showcase the artistic talents of African
American playwrights, directors, actors and stage technicians. The theater looks
forward to a season that will enlighten theater goers of every generation.
