The St. Catharines Museum originally opened in Merritton during Canada's Centennial
Year 1967, but moved to Lock 3 on the Canal in 1990. From the elevated viewing
platform at Lock 8, visitors get a close-up look at ships from around the world.
Inside, visitors may watch a video presentation, or learn more about the four
Welland Canals and the history of the area through the Museums exhibits. Those
who tour the galleries can also experience the rich legacy of Niagara's African
Canadians in the integrated "Follow the North Star" exhibit, or learn about the
history of our national summer game in the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame and Museum. Admission:
(all rates include 7% GST) Adults - $4.25 Seniors
(65 years) - $4.00 Students (over 14) - $3.25 Children (6-13) - $2.50 Family
Discount - 15% Members are complimentary, except for specially ticketed events.
